Reapplication policy:
You may apply a maximum of twice in the same academic year.
For your second application, at least one aspect must be updated (e.g., test score, program choice).
If you apply in Round 4, you may not have time to reapply in Round 5 due to timeline overlap.
Programs and class groups
All applicants may select up to 5 programs in the Bocconi application
Students must select each program of interest as a separate program choice when applying for admission.
IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia China MIM, and IM Asia DD Bocconi-Essec are considered separate choice
Applicants to the Bocconi-LSE Double Degree and Bocconi-Science Po Double Degree are required to complete a different specific application.
International applicants who are going to apply only for "Politics and Policy Analysis" will not be required to have a selection test.
Applicants to the Master’s Degree in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Health Sciences (DAIHS) are required to complete a specific application on the Humanitas University web portal. Applications will be carefully examined by a joint committee of representatives from Humanitas University and Bocconi University.
Elements of selection
In the five selection rounds, international candidates are evaluated based on a comprehensive review of their profile, with a focus on three mandatory components. Applications missing any of these three elements will not be assessed.
Applicants are evaluated based on the following three mandatory elements:
Test Scores:
GMAT, GRE, or Bocconi online test results. Minimum threshold scores apply. If multiple scores are submitted, the system selects the highest.
Undergraduate GPA:
Academic transcripts and GPA are reviewed, with no specific minimum required. Starting in 2025–2026, applicants must convert their GPA to Bocconi’s scale; the Admissions Office may adjust it if needed.
The program director assesses the overall profile, experiences, and motivation. This section must be completed in English.
Applicants may optionally include a video presentation in English to strengthen their application, especially if coming from an international university. The video, recorded within the application platform, responds to the following questions/statements:
Self-presentation
Why do you consider yourself a person with a pronounced international attitude?
How do you evaluate your ability to go beyond your "comfort zone" and face complex situations?
Applicants to IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia - China MIM, and IM Asia - Bocconi-ESSEC Double Degrees must submit a personal statement and a compulsory video presentation, as these programs place strong emphasis on qualitative and motivational factors.
For the video presentation dedicated to the Special Programs, you will need to answer the following questions:
What strategies do you plan to use to balance the academic and social challenges that come with studying in different educational systems and cultures?
How do you plan to leverage the unique opportunities offered by studying in different countries to achieve your academic and career goals?
If you had to choose just one value that is important to you, what would it be? Can you describe a situation in which you put it into practice or a situation in which you discovered its importance?
Requirements: valid bachelor qualification
Applicants are eligible to apply if they have earned or will earn a recognized undergraduate degree by October 2025 (or the first available graduation session after that). For the IM Asia CHINA MIM program, the degree must be obtained by June 2025.
Priority is given to those currently completing their undergraduate studies or who graduated within the last two years. Others will be considered afterward.
Students in Double Degree programs must apply based on their original university.
For example, a student enrolled at a Russian university partnered with an Italian one should apply as an international candidate. Those with Bocconi as part of their Double Degree should confirm their status with the Admissions Office.
Requirements: english language
For selection purposes, English certifications are not required, BUT, in case of admission, a valid English language requirement MUST be provided by the enrollment deadline and in any case by the end of June 2025.
