NUS MIM Academics
The MSc in Management programme is a one year full-time programme and students are required to complete 10 courses (40 Units) by NUS Business School over two semesters.
NUS MIM Curriculum
Each semester, choose 5 electives from 15-20 courses—ranging from advanced, cutting-edge topics for students with a business background to foundational courses that build essential skills for those new to the field.

This programme structure applies to the January 2026 intake and beyond. Students without a relevant background in the areas listed below may be required to take selected foundational courses. These courses form part of the programme workload and must be completed to meet graduation requirements.

NUS MIM Completion and Graduation Requirements
To stay and complete the programme, you must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.2. In the event that you are unable to maintain a GPA of 3.2 and above, the following scenarios may occur:
If your GPA is less than 3.2 but more than 2.5, you will receive an initial warning. This will lead to dismissal from the programme should your GPA remain below 3.2 for the third consecutive semester.
If your GPA is 2.5 or below for two consecutive semesters, you will automatically be dropped from the programme.

NUS MIM Concurrent Degree Program
The MSc in Management programme is available to all eligible NUS undergraduate students through the Concurrent Degree Programme (CDP). NUS undergraduates may gain this master’s degree with one additional year of coursework study.
For non-business students, this programme prepares you for an additional career option in management. You will also enjoy all the rights and privileges of being an NUS Business School student, such as access to the NUS Business School Career Services.

NUS MIM Application Process
Students can apply for the concurrent BBA and MSc in Management programmes through the centralised online application on the NUS Office of Admissions (OAM) website. Once admitted, they must maintain strong academic performance and can take graduate-level modules only after successfully completing an interview. Eligibility to take these modules begins after matriculation into NUS.
Admission
To establish eligibility to the programme, an NUS undergraduate must have:
Informed your original NUS faculty/school (for non-BBA students).
Completed at least 80 Units of your undergraduate programme with your original faculty/school. At least 40 of those completed Units must be from courses offered by your undergraduate department/faculty for students in your undergraduate major(s).
Completed at least 16 Units of BBA or Minor in Management programme courses, with an average grade point of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 for those completed courses. (Students enrolled in the University Scholars Programme (USP) need not complete the 16 Units of BBA programme courses.)
An overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0 out of 5.0.
A strong performance in the interview (conducted for shortlisted applicants only).
A Letter of Motivation of no more than 500 words outlining the reasons for which you want to complete the programme. The same Letter of Motivation can be used for the CEMS MIM application.
Provision for Grade-Free Semesters: For students who are admitted from AY2014/2015 onwards, a maximum of 4 Level-1000 and 2 Level-2000 (without prerequisites) courses graded on S/U basis will be allowed to be counted towards the DKR.
Although GMAT is not mandatory, candidates with good GMAT scores will be considered favourably for our NUS MSc in Management Study Awards.

Competing Globally | Special Term 1 (4 Units)
This course explores key strategic issues faced by companies in international markets. As most businesses today operate globally to some extent, the course focuses on how firms can build and use competitive advantages to succeed worldwide. The emphasis is on competition strategies rather than internal management or organizational structures.

International exchange programme
You are required to spend one term each at two additional CEMS partner schools. Destinations for the terms abroad will depend on availability. Location and sequence preferences will be taken into consideration, but those with better academic standing (including good GMAT scores) may stand a higher chance of getting their preferred placement.
Language requirements
All CEMS MIM students graduate with competence in three languages, one of which must be English (Language 1). The second and third language can be any language. Please click here for the proficiency requirements of Language 2 and 3.
Block seminar
You will begin the CEMS MIM term with a mandatory intensive one-week Block Seminar that is an ideal start to the programme as it facilitates discussion of management topics from different cultural and academic perspectives.
Unique global courses
You will have to successfully complete exclusive CEMS courses such as Global Strategy, Global Leadership and Global Citizenship. The Global Citizenship Seminar is a two-day course that brings together representatives from corporate and / or social partners, professors and students to have the opportunity to engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals through experiential learning.
Skill seminars
These shorter seminars provide training on a wide variety of essential and practical skills for an effective professional career. They are held throughout the two terms and are often in cooperation with corporate organisations.
CEMS business project
Adopting a consultancy-like approach, you will work in small teams and apply your skills and knowledge to solve a real business problem for an international organisation. Your student team will work independently and will be supervised and evaluated by both your faculty advisor and the corporate representatives. The Business Project will amount to about half of Semester 2’s workload.
International internship
The objective of this internship is to turn academic and theoretical knowledge into a professional and multi-cultural experience. Your internship can take place at a CEMS Corporate Partner, an international company, or a non-profit organisation, as long as the company operates in an international environment, and your work responsibilities correspond to that of a new graduate hire. You are responsible for finding your own internship and getting all official documents required for employment.

NUS MIM Concurrent Double Degree Programme
CDP MSc in Management students can enroll in a double-master degree programme by choosing the additional CEMS Master’s in International Management (CEMS MIM) degree. This double-master degree programme may be completed in 1.5 years by a business undergraduate student, and 2 years by a non-business undergraduate student.
Applicants for the double-master programme with CEMS must be proficient in at least one additional language, other than English.

Student must submit a CEMS application in CEMS.org between 1 November and 15 July when they are in year 3.Student will rank 15 host schools of their preference in the application form.

Limited NUS CEMS MIM Study Awards covering all or a portion of the programme fees are available for outstanding students.

NUS MIM Graduating Requirements
The CEMS MIM degree will only be granted upon successful completion of the MSc in Management programme.
To be considered for the CEMS graduation ceremony held usually in late November or early December, the CEMS student must have successfully completed all obligatory components for the CEMS MIM by July of that year:
Have spent at least two of the three MIM terms abroad
Have successfully graduated officially from the MSc in Management programme
No more than 15 ECTS in Elective and Skill Seminar credits may be taken outside the MIM year
A consecutive 8-week international internship at first-job level

NUS MIM Tuition Fee Rebate
Starting AY24/25, all self-funded Singaporeans and Singapore PRs will receive a 40% tuition fee rebate. This does not apply to the CEMS MIM fee.
Starting AY24/25, NUS Alumni are eligible to receive a 20% tuition fee rebate across all NUS Business School Master of Science programmes.

NUS MIM Scholarships
NUS MIM Dhanabalan Scholarship
The Dhanabalan Scholarship aims to support exceptional Singapore Citizens and/or Singapore Permanent Residents who have financial needs, to pursue the NUS MSc in Management programme at NUS Business School.
One award worth S$20,000 will be available for each intake. There is no bond to this Scholarship.
NUS MIM Application process
Candidates seeking to apply for this Scholarship should submit their application by the 1st round of application cut-off deadline and received the offer to the NUS MSc in Management or MSc in Management + CEMS MIM programme to be eligible.
The student must meet the following requirements:
Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident,
Demonstrated excellent academic and professional achievements, and an outstanding overall application profile,
Demonstrated financial needs, and
Ideally also demonstrated impact to the community
