Course Content

Fall Term (Part 1 – First Six Weeks): Students begin with core courses tailored to their academic background. You may join the Accelerated Track if your previous degree is in economics, engineering, mathematics, or sciences, or the Business Track if you already hold a degree in management or business.
Fall Term (Part 2 – Next Six Weeks): You then specialize in either Capital Markets or Corporate Finance, depending on the track you selected during your application.
Spring Term: The curriculum expands with advanced core courses and the opportunity to choose nine electives from over 30 options (subject to availability). This flexibility allows students to customize their learning path to match their career goals.
Beyond academics, HEC Paris offers a rich set of workshops, events, and immersive experiences throughout the year. Highlights include the Hi!Paris Data Bootcamp, the Hi!Paris Hackathon, the London Study Trip, CV and interview preparation workshops, and on-campus career fairs.
To complete the program, students participate in one of the 10 prestigious HEC Certificates and undertake a Research Paper, giving them both academic depth and practical expertise to excel in the global finance industry.

Admission Process
The selection for the HEC Paris Masters in Finance follows a two-phase process:
Application Review – The admissions committee evaluates your application and supporting documents.

Admitted students will be asked to confirm their seats within 2 weeks after final results are announced with a non-refundable deposit of €6,000, deducted from their total tuition fees.

How do I know if I am eligible for the program of my choice?
To apply for our Master’s programs, candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have less than three years of work experience, as these programs are designed for pre-experience students.

Do I need to speak French to study at HEC Paris? What are the language requirements at HEC Paris?
At HEC Paris, most programs are taught entirely in English. However, a few programs require French proficiency:

This requirement is waived if you are:

All four sections (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) must be graded.
